BRIC-NABI aims at catalysing the transformation of the Agri- food sector in India by being a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science leading to value-added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations for improved household nutritional security. Since its inception in 2010, BRIC-NABI is involved in research activities for Bio-fortification, the development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions for quality food and nutrition, and the development of evidence-based functional foods to counter malnutrition. The food and nutritional Biotechnology division at BRIC-NABI requires the following research personnel purely on a temporary basis.

1. Project Title: “Dissecting wheat tissue-type specific iron homeostatic transcriptional responses mediated by basic helix loop helix protein” (GAP-86) Principle Investigator: Dr. Ajay K. Pandey, Scientist - G, BRIC-NABI Positions: Project Associate-1 (One) Duration: One Year, extendable on annual basis for subsequent years subject to satisfactory progress. Essential Qualification: As a basic criteria Candidates must any one of the following eligibility Options and also meet desirable qualification in the relevant areas: Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, or Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / BPharm, or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent, with four years of experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities and services related to plant tissue culture. OR Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent, with two years of experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities and services. Responsibilities: Recruited PA will work on genome-editing for crop improvement with a focus on trait improvement in wheat. This project is sanctioned under the DBT scheme "Biological Sciences of Emerging Frontiers in Biotechnology". (GAP-115) Principle Investigator: Dr. Siddharth Tiwari, Scientist F, BRIC-NABI Position: Project Associate II – (One Position) Duration: Till August 2029* (Progress will be reviewed every 6 months by PI, and based on performance, the selected candidate will be allowed to continue work in the project) Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Biotechnology / MVSc or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.

and ii) 2 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial/Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations, and Scientific activities and services. and iii) Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions or completed M. Tech. in biotechnology/relevant subject. Desirable: 1. Prior practical understanding of metabolic pathway engineering, plant tissue culture, genome editing, plant genetic engineering, bioinformatics, biochemical and molecular biology techniques. 2. Project Associate-II will assist in the analysis of bioinformatics data related to whole genome sequencing, transcriptomic and phenotypic performance of plants. 3. knowledge and experience in molecular biology techniques, plant genome editing and bioinformatics analysis of various data. Essential Qualification: Master's degree from a recognised University/Institute: M.Sc. Chemistry (Organic/Physical/ Materials/ Medicinal/Pharmaceutical)/ Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology/ Microbiology /Food Technology or related field or M. Pharm / M.S. Pharm (Biotechnology/Medicinal/Pharmaceutical/Process Chemistry) or M.E. / M. Tech. (Biotechnology/Nanotechnology) and NET / GATE / any other relevant/equivalent nature of national level test qualified (for JRF). Work area: Biosensor Development, Aptamer selection Desired Experience: Aptamer selection experience, Basic knowledge of Confocal Microscope, Fluorescence Microscope. Project Title: “Development of electrospun plastic antibodies and advanced material-based biosensing strips for efficient and facile detection of protein allergens (gluten, β-lactoglobulin, ovalbumin) in food products” (GAP-107) Principle Investigator: Dr. Vanish Kumar, Scientist-C, BRIC-NABI Positions: Research Associate (One) Duration: One Year, extendable on annual basis for subsequent years subject to satisfactory progress. Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences or Biotechnology or in relevant field with at least two first author peer-reviewed research publications in Science Citation indexed (SCl) journals. Desirable Experience: 1. Experience in the synthesis of advanced nanomaterial for sensing applications, MIPs, and development of advanced materials-based systems. 2. Relevant research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities: Selected individual will play an important role in advancing this research, particularly through planning, designing, and performing experimental work. This individual will work on the development of sensing platforms by modifying nanomaterials surface with desired receptors, and evaluate the performance of the developed materials. Candidate is expected to help in coordinating the project and other existing projects in the lab. Candidate will also help in the collection of samples from field, preparation of reports for funding agencies and writing the manuscripts for publication.
